Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Shishin (the "Service"), a research publication operated by us. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What we provide
Shishin publishes daily market observations from a quantitative screen — a list of stocks the system flagged, with the data behind each entry. We're a publisher of research output. We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary, and nothing on the Service constitutes personalised financial advice.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or access it through unauthorised means.
3. Free trial
New accounts get 14 days of full access at no cost. No payment method is required. When the trial ends, you can continue on a free tier or convert to monthly access — your choice. We don't auto-charge anything.
4. Permitted use
You may use the Service for your own decision-making. You may not:
- Resell, republish, or systematically redistribute signal data to third parties.
- Scrape the Service or use it via automated means beyond the documented API (when available to your tier).
- Misrepresent the Service's output as personalised advice to others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the underlying ranking or scoring logic in order to clone the Service.
5. No investment advice
Signals are research output, not personalised financial advice. We do not know your financial situation, risk tolerance, time horizon, or tax circumstances, and we don't pretend to. Every trading decision is yours alone, and you bear sole responsibility for the outcome. See our Risk Disclosure for the details.
6. No guarantee of results
Past performance — whether shown via backtest, paper trading, or any other historical reference — does not guarantee future results. Markets change. Strategies that worked yesterday can fail tomorrow. The Service may be wrong about any specific signal, and may produce extended periods of losses.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shishin and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Total liability for any direct damages is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You can cancel anytime by closing your account. We may terminate or suspend access for violations of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (liability, no-advice, risk disclosure) survive termination.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice with at least 14 days' notice before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Shishin's operating entity is registered. Disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction. Specific jurisdiction will be confirmed at paid-tier launch.
